Walesy 0 Posted June 25, 2007 8v - 115bhp at 5400rpm Torque 109lb/ft at 4800rpm 16v - 136bhp at 5800rpm Torque 132lb/ft at 4400rpm Having owned a couple of each, i'd say there's not alot in it, where you notice it more is at the top end the 16v has more grunt. Personaly, i'd say if you're looking for performance then don't buy either, but if you're not particularly interested in performance and want an economic reliable car then go for the 8v.
