STORM 2

spoiler module electrics question - sparky required !

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Out of the 7 wires in the loom to the spoiler control module, I am at a loss to explain 2 of the three wires heading to the car's brain as opposed to the tail.

The brown wires (both seated in terminal 6) are ground/negative I'm sure.

The other two heading centrally (as opposed to the tail and the spoiler switch) are white/blue at terminal 8 and black/blue at terminal 2.

Does anyone know where these 2 are heading? More importantly, is one of them carrying the speed sensitive signal?

Bentley says white/blue heads to 'current track 73' and black/blue seems to split into 4 :- a) current track 170 b) 2 go to single block terminals behind the fuse panel and one goes to relay socket M5.

:( What I do know is that there is no problem with the wires coming outof the control module, so I can only conclude there is a problem with those two wires wherever theyre going. And what the hell is a 'current track' ????????

Can anyone help?

cheers
