Engine Swap: 95 vr6 (coilpack) into a 93 vr6 (dist.)

Recommended Posts

I have a 93 Corrado and just mounted a 95 jetta vr6 coil pack engine in it. What do i have to do to run the coil pack vr6 in a corrado that was previously distributor.

Please help me out!

Also, if you have any diagrams or pics of engine wiring let me know.

Thanks!

You need some of the wiring harness from the 95 engine (Cam sensor, coilpack loom etc) and the ECU.

Might be easier to put your Dist' stuff on the 95 engine.

I probably wasn't too clear... I have the 95 engine mounted in the 93 raddo that was a distributor previously. It has the distributor ecu in it, but mainly i want to know what difference in wiring there was or what i have to do to make the 95 engine work in the 93.

thanks for your reply

Erm, what i said originally!

If you don't have the ECU, MAF sensor and wiring harness from the 95 donor car, it ain't gonna work in 93 car I'm afraid. Sorry.
