spare wheel, what should it be?

just tried to fit my spare, low and behold it doesnt fit.

 

Should my spare be a space saver, an alloy.

In my VR i have a space saver but ones did have full sized spare which needs a raised boot carpet to accomodate it..

 

Mines an unused original Continetal 125/70/15..

I must have had a full sized spare, my carpet has a big lump in it.
