junkie 0 Posted August 30, 2007 Just put my new interior in, wired up the electrics with the loom off Zerocool, all the adjustments work fine except on both switches on both seats they work the wrong way round, tilt back is forward and so on. Where did i go wrong?
dinkus 10 Posted August 30, 2007 Incorrect polairty somewhere. Not sure what connectors you've got at the fusebox end, but I'd swap them over and that should fix it.
junkie 0 Posted August 30, 2007 All i have is a fused live and an earth. Not too fussed if it dont get fixed in a hurry just found it strange. So my guess is leave the wiring at the fuse board and where the wires go into the connector may be the wrong way around. That way it looks right at the fused end
dinkus 10 Posted August 31, 2007 Yeah - essentially if the motors are going the wrong way, the voltage is inverted so you need to swap it around somewhere. If it looks right at the fusebox end, then I guess the plugs into the seats is your next stop.
g60pops 0 Posted September 3, 2007 remove your switches, turn them 180 degrees and then remount them.
junkie 0 Posted September 3, 2007 remove your switches, turn them 180 degrees and then remount them. Now that has got to be the most logical thing to do lol, set of amateurs on here (dom, me)
dinkus 10 Posted September 3, 2007 Yeah, that'd work too - I don't think there's any arrows on them to suggest what they do
junkie 0 Posted September 4, 2007 There is arrows but it doesn't matter which way round the switch is so they got removed and 180'd and alls sorted lol :D
