jon daniels 0 Posted September 18, 2007 hi there, at present the ambient temp gauge on my dash reads -40! not the oil/water etc i guess its the external temp. does this mean the thermostat/thermomter is knackered if so can it be replaced and where the hell is it? cheers jon ps its a 1989 valver. Supercharged 2 Posted September 18, 2007 Yeah thinking about it -40 means open circuit so most likely a dead sensor but worth checking some idiot garage / bodyshop hasn't connected it to the fog light plug... seriously, check both front fogs work!
