Wanted to do the swap while I fit my Peloquin, I have an ASD box, just undecided about what to do, I suppose I could just swap it out if it didnt work out . Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 24, 2007 If you're after a 4 + E gearbox it make sense. I had a 4 + E box in my old Golf CL and the drop in revs from 4th to 5th was stupid, in fact it couldn't even pull stop speed in 5th. It's a bit different with your engine but it makes better sense to do it properly and go 6 speed (5 + E) by either putting an 02J gearset into your 02A casing or better still, get an 02M as it can actually handle the grunt aswell.
