G60 won't start!?

Recommended Posts

Hi,i turn the key the fuels going through and the engine makes a clicking sound asthough it wants to start but nothing else happens apart from a buzzing noise coming from the fuse box? I've checked all the fuses and swopped the relays with my other g60 but still no luck?

Check the lead from the starter motor to the battery, mine was dodgy and wouldn't start the car.

Otherwise check the usual suspect - Ignition switch (£12 from VW i think) and check all the earth leads are in good condition.

You need to look for 12V going down the red and black wire to the starter solenoid when the key is turned

12v = knackered starter solenoid

0v = Ignition switch, Alarm etc
