VR6 exhaust bore size/silencer replacement

Just got a couple of questions:

 

As all Corrados have the same bore exhaust, would a 16v front silencer fit a VR? My VR has a decat pipe already fitted.

 

What is the exact bore size? I know it's around 60mm, but need to know the exact size because I may just get some stainless tube to replace the front silencer, such as this

2.25" bore mate.

 

I'm not sure what kind of silencers the 16V uses, so can't advise on that. MK2 16V Golfs had the front silencer built into the downpipe and I'm not sure if Corrado 16Vs have the same or not, but you wouldn't be able to use that type on the VR .

Here's a 16v silencer. It looks very similar the VR one- I think the only difference must be the length :?
