VR6 Front wing. Where from and how much??

Can anyone tell me the best place to get a front passenger wing for a 1993 VR6 and how much I should be looking to pay? I have got a quote from one of those online companies that supply the wing to you resprayed to match your car and that has come out at £329. Is that about the right price? Are these companies any good?

They are about £200 from GPC, best to get that mailorder or from VW if you have a trade contact and get it sprayed by a local good body shop to match the car... (ie the paint on the car may not be identical to the colour it actually came out the factory in...)

Yeah thats what I was thinking about the paint.

 

They are on Volkswagenspares.co.uk for £200 so I think I will go down that route. Cheers for the reply.

a straight, rot free second hand wing shouldn't set you back more than 50 quid, I'd imagine most sprayers would charge 100-150 quid to paint, just don't get a light colour for a dark car and vice versa.

Indeed this would be the cheapest option, I would also look to get it shotblasted prior to painting, this should remove any underlying corrosion that might be lurking under the paint.

I have put a post in the wanted section on here for a second hand wing but there doesn't seem to be anything out there at the moment. Where is the best place to try and find a second hand wing? Should I just be patient and wait until one comes up on this site?

look for traders etc. breaking corrados on e-bay, then there's specialist VW breakers around the country, last time I went to Intapart in Daventry for example they had about 5 Corrados in.

What is the difference between a vr6 front wing and a valver/g60 wing? My search hasn't turned anything up yet so I am trying to broaden it.
