Finally VAG-COM'd - Uh Oh!

Recommended Posts

Just VAG-COM'd the VR6 and it came up with the following;

We checked the fault codes and then cleared them. Started the engine up and then ran VAG-COM again. This was all done within 10 mins so the engine never got up to temp.

The faults listed here were identical to the faults listed before we started the engine, I've heard I need to run the engine for a while after clearing the codes but we didn't have time and these came up immediately.

VAG-COM Version: Release 311.2-N

Chassis Type: 50 - VW Corrado

00537 - Lambda (Oxygen Sensor) Regulation

Address 03 -------------------------------------------------------

Controller: 1H0 907 379 C

1 Fault Found:

00532 - Supply Voltage B+

35-00 - -

Skipping Address 15-Airbags

End -------------------------------------------------------

Now even I can figure out that the MAF and Lambda need replacing (this is being goingon months so I've given up going down the cheapest route!) but I'm not sure what the Idle Speed Regulation fault is? My ISV valve was replaced a few months back albeit with a used one. Could it be something else?

I've also just replaced the Blue ECU temp sensor so I'm wondering if the fault its coming up with there is related to one of the others?

Any ideas guys?

Cheers! (to dr_mat too! :) )

Blue temp sensor error was probably from the last sensor. you need to clear the fault run the car and test again to see if it still comes up 8)

We just cleared the codes and then started the car. A minute later we did another scan and the above came up straight away.

You ought to turn the ignition off and back on again after clearing the codes otherwise it don't matter ..

Ah! :?

Will re-do the check and report back. I imagine that the lambda & MAF will need replacing as it's not running right at all and it would explain a few things!
