heater flaps / box unit behind the dash. early/late diff?

My late dash (dial control not slider) heater is not changing direction.

 

I've partially dissassembled the dash and found the actual dials and cables are fine.

 

Basically the flap that changes direction to the screen is broken in some way.

 

 

 

I think I'm going to need another direction changer flap thing - are these the same for early and late cars?

I have a complete heater box assembly from a 95 VR spare in the garage if you want one. There was nothing wrong with it when I took it out of the car, it simply made way for the climatronic.

 

£30 collected if you're interested, 5 minutes from J30 M1 which I guess is quite a way from you in NW, can't help you out any with delivery unless you can wait until I'm back in the country 20th December!
