ARRRGGHH!! Fuse Box Cover!!

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I'm in the process of putting all the trim back in after having had the carpets out. All going well until I came to putting the fuse box cover back in. It's never sat in there very well, so I'm determined to get it to fit properly this time. Can I get it to go back in NO!! It's driving me INSANE!!!!

I'm pretty sure it's getting stuck on the right hand side. From the attached pic you can see there is a lot going on to the right and I was wondering whether anyone could check how that area looked on theirs and see if I've got some wires out of place that are stopping the cover fitting properly.

Many thanks

George

Hi

The thing in front of fuses 16 to 23 will stop the box going back all the way.

The other thing is the two curved half inch wide extensions at the back of the box. These slot into a gap on each side. I cant see the slot on the right side just above the relays. The other thing is a two inch wide lip on the bottom at the back of the fuse box. This lip sits above the metal bracket in the footwell.

the way i sorted mine (as the way it attaches to the other under tray is a pain in the ass) is to take the oter tray out (undo the screws) then attach the two trays together then put them both back in at the same time. worked for me...

I did think about doing this, only problem is you can only fix the right hand screw on the outer box while the fuse cover is out. Ah well, might be ok without that screw. I'll give it a try.
