Plastic Rocker Cover (vr6)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Im looking to put a plastic rocker cover on my 94 Corrado, ODB1. Just wondering if any1 has any part numbers?

nothing wrong with my metal existing 1, but i have heard via search on vr6oc, that the plastic 1's are more quiet?

thanks

If you order a new one it comes painted red and blue where it says VW & DOHC.

This is probably not an issue if it's just the fact it's plastic that you are after!!!

Sorry, haven't got a part number to hand but I'm sure someone will be by with one soon.

I think he means the rocker cover Judith, you are talking about the new style DOHC engine plastic..

I think there is a noise gain, i went the other way and changed my plastic for metal as it looks right for my engine bay theme..

Damn i knew i should have noted the part number down when i fitted yours Goldie :) I don't think VW's smartest individuals were on the job when they produced the plastic rocker, as the part number is stamped right in the middle under the inlet manifold. Clearly a stupid place for helping fellow owners
