Taking a front bumper off a corrado

I am trying to take my front bumper off the corrado.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Its a 2.0 16v corrado

 

I'ce had it jacked up today and can see some bolts near the front crossmember. is it these bolts you remove?

Do a search, this gets covered loads....

Three bolts either side of the crossmember,two larger ones you remove NOT the inner small ones,i would support the engine if i was you as the inner M8 bolts mounts tend to rust away,so you will have an engine on your head and that will hurt....this has been covered many times :sleeping:

Go to advanced search, type in:

 

+remov* +bumper

 

(can add in +front as well if you like)

 

Restrict to the Exterior forum and return threads rather than posts.

 

It's basically 4 bolts (2 for each side) but a picture paints a thousand words, so I'd suggest the search option.

You need to remove the metal bracket that holds the bottom of the bumper and spoiler to the rad support crossmember (5 x 10mm head I think)

 

Then the 4 (2 each side) x 17mm headed M10 bolts which go thru the engine front crossmember - you must support the engine when removing the bumber and never attempt to drive the car without!!

 

You might have to remove a couple of the 8mm bolts holding the arch liners on so you can pull the bumper fwd and round these, then it's just a case of unplugging the lights (you may need to release the wiring depending on what year it is or just disconnect the bulbs from the indicators. Really need 2 people as it's heavy!
