gordon c 0 Posted April 17, 2008 hi all, i'm on the lookout for a corrado VR6 at the moment and was needing some advice on the timimg chains.. is there an actual mileage when these should be changed or are they normally changed when they become noisy? im handy enough with a spanner to do this myself but i would like to budget for this if a suitable car came up that was needing the chains done. only viewed one corrado so far, i have about £4000 to spend so hopefully that should get me a good one, if anyone has one for sale in scotland let me know :lol: Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

It all depends on the specific corrado really. There are lowish mileage corrados that have had or need the chains done as well as high mileage ones that havent had them done and that are quiet and dont need them done. It's pot luck really lol. tandino 0 Posted April 19, 2008 Id say any VR with the early upper tensioner with mileage in excess of 100k is on borrowed time tensioner wise.
