Henny 0 Posted November 28, 2003 I'll be there...  I'm picking my engine block up from John (16VG60) Sunday morning, so we thought that a quick trip out for a pint and a glub GTI meet would be a nice way to break up over 500 miles of driving! 8) Will I win furthest travelled award?!?

Pete 0 Posted November 28, 2003 Unfortunately I will be shooting through there to Worthing on Saturday but I'll be back in sunny south wales in the evening. Can you guys give me any speed camera tips down that way [going M4/Newbury bypass etc...]?
john_wintle 0 Posted November 28, 2003 Peter, for the local area check out http://www.sussex.safetycameras.gov.uk Mobile camers on Sunday are at: Sunday 30: Worthing - A2031 Offington Lane; Worthing - The Boulevard; Worthing - A2032 Littlehampton Road. Signs in advance of the cameras but these appear to be in 30mph limits some of which are dual carriageway(!), or just inside a 40mph. john

16VG60 1 Posted December 1, 2003 We meet on every last Sunday in the month at 12.30pm apprx and typically carry on until about 3pm. Given the date of our next meet, and the generally festive nature of things, we are going to book a table and have a proper lunch as opposed to the usual bar snacks. The standard of food prepared by the Landlord Paul and his team is superb, so we should enjoy a great afternoon. Please let us know very soon if you wish to reserve a place for this Christmas Meet. This is a new venue which is proving to be very popular, and in common with the previous venue there is good parking and a large garden but none of the problems with tight access . Summer next year will see the return of BBQ / show and shine / autojumble events making this a top spot for the monthly gathering. For more details contact John Wintle or me, we look forward to seeing you at The Fox.
