Securing Audioscape sub enclosure??

I am just about to install the sub enclosure and I am wondering whats the best way to do this?

First up, remove the boot light and tape up the wires - you don't want any shorts!

 

Next, there's a stud that sticks out of the side of the boot. You need to drill a hole in the back of the sub-box to line up with that. Then put a washer and wing-nut on it. Then screw the sub in, pop the grill on and Robert is your mother's brother.

Thanks Dinkus, mine's second hand so it already has a hole drilled in it. I'll give it a shot later

Just had a quick butchers and there is definately not any stud where you mentioned, I have attached a pic

Hmm, odd - I thought there was already a stud there. Either way, looks like that hole is what you need to use, so a trip to get a suitably sized bolt is on the cards...

I believe so. You can't get to the back of the other hole, so it's gotta be that one. But if you've already got a hole in the sub box, see which hole it lines up with ;)

Ahh yeah, I remember now.

 

You need a bolt through the hole just to the right of the boot-light cut-out. The sub enclosure fits flush along the top against the underside of the shelf support, but doesn't actually fit snug against the boot floor. Give it a wiggle and it should line up.
