Luce 0 Posted May 18, 2008 Hi All, Firstly, I'm a newbie on the forum - so hi :) Secondly I'm in a bit of a pickle, I've just got my second corrado this weekend (the first got shunted up the backside about 3 weeks ago viewtopic.php?f=17&t=68369) and discovered that it is fitted with a Quantum alarm which doesn't appear to work. I'd like to get a Thatcham one fitted in the coming week and wondered if anyone knows of a good, reputable company in the Oxford/West Oxfordshire area? I've been advaised that I'm not covered for theft until I can send the insurers a certificate for the new alarm, so would like to sort it asap. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. dinkus 10 Posted May 18, 2008 That's some sucky news about the old girl :( Yay for getting a new Corrado though!  Generally speaking, the alarm fitter plays a much bigger part in the alarm than the actual alarm system itself. They all have to meet the same category ratings, but any alarm will be crap if it's fitted by a chimp. There might be something of use in here though - viewtopic.php?p=776933#p776933

dinkus 10 Posted May 19, 2008 would you not say this was a Supplier issue Dom?! Yars, I guess so... should the stickies of recommended alarm fitters also be moved then? :)
