jamestbh 0 Posted May 28, 2008 Hey all, wondered if i could pick you brains for a second please i've got a mate on the other end of the phone with a fault code reader and a poorly g60 and no idea where to find the plug, he's checked the dash, i've had a look in my 16v C aswell and still can't seem to find where you'd plug in it :S Any ideas? ProdigalSon 1 Posted May 28, 2008 G60s don't have VAGCOM ports for the engine ECU, only a diagnostic port for the ABS ECU (where fitted!) :( Most of the engine diagnostics can be done with a multimeter (reading voltage or resistance) and knowledge of where to connect it (eg. Bentley factory repair guide). If his car did have VAGCOM, the connector would be under the gearstick gaiter - unscrew the gearknob and pull the plastic surround up and off the gearstick - the connector(s) would be found inside, close to the dash. What's the problem he's trying to diagnose? Probably need to post in the appropriate area, on second thoughts :) Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
