What's this?

2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdf27072008012.jpg[/attachment:uodzwtth]Hello,

Does anybody know what this is (See pic), presume it is a sensor? It was hanging down from the fuse box, i managed to thread it back up by removing part of the dash but cannot see an obvious place it sits.

If anyone knows what or where it goes i would be greatly appreciative.

Cheers

Ray

Ultrasonic sensor for alarm? Do you have one on the other side too?

Yup, looks like to me, but that's a damned weird place to mount them!

Initially, that is what i thought, alarm sensor, but the active rear spoiler stopped working after i found it. So not sure if this is coincidence or relates to the spoiler function? FYI, went to a so called German Car Specialist and they didn't know the VR6 had active spoilers!

German Car Specialist and they didn't know the VR6 had active spoilers!

All Corrado's had them regardless of engine type / age!

The Corrado is well known for its spoiler but not all garages know everything about them so it's not a total surprise...

as above it looks like the alarm sensor. It should be fitted at the top of the windscreen pillar on either side using the trim screw. Although my early valver has it by the sun visor? Could be alarm / fitter dependent though. The first pic is my 95 VR and it's still the original Conlog factory fit. The 2nd one is a Waso that may be aftermarket?

Thanks guys. I've had a look at the alarm sensors and they are all where they are supposed to be, i'm thinking it might be a redundant sensor from possibly the factory fitted alarm. The alarm i've got now is, i think an after market Toad alarm.
