Jim Bowen 1 Posted August 15, 2008 is it possible to get a device that turns your mains power from the wall 240v into 12v power. bought something that needs a 12v power supply, thought i had a spare car battery but its been binned now can't find anything online, only stuff that does 12v to 240v, not the other way round
dinkus 10 Posted August 15, 2008 Depending on what kind of current/wattage you need, a computer power supply will do the trick :)
Jim Bowen 1 Posted August 15, 2008 it just says, "operating voltage 12v=" & "Power consumption: max. 150mA" its a "Hochleistungs-Ultraschall-Impulsgenerator mit Lautsprecher" how would i go about connecting to the computer power supply?

The Hub 0 Posted August 15, 2008 The Battery Charger I had for RC cars was 12v so i could used it trackside of a leisure battery, but as it was charging the night before racing and it was easier to run of mains at home i imported this from Hong Kong. It also allows you to adjust the current :)
