mfa temp sensor

Recommended Posts

Hi all

we all know that if the sensor is missing the mfa read -40 and if its there but broken the mfa doesnt give you the read out option it just skips it after the oil temp reading !

Well my car had the later no read out so last night i unplugged it from the driver side lower front valance removed the sensor (which looks like 2 tiny yellow cables with a white cap on the end ) and found it had been repaired (ish) but mainly the connector was all corroded due to its position one remake of sensor connection and light scrape of the connector and bingo all good  I now read 20 deg well last night i did and dropped to 18 on the way home (wind chill i guess) so if anyone is out there like me it might be worth just cleaning the connector and trying it before buying new !

hope it helps

stu....
