mcbettermanpj 0 Posted September 15, 2008 Hi at the weekend I noticed that Passenger Door has stopped unlocking either when I use the key fob or the the drivers side lock, which is great cause last week I had to take the dash out to replace the heater matrix and not that long ago it was the passenger side door handle mech. Anyway it will unlock though if I try unlocking it but have to be quick or the door locks as if there is still suction there. Any one have ideas and also where is the centrol locking pump located? Leonard 0 Posted September 15, 2008 I have this on my drivers door. Fecked if i know what is causing it though! Pump seems fine and i have tried a new handle so really not sure what to try next. Maybe the actuator in the door? Matt
boost monkey 0 Posted September 15, 2008 central locking pump is in the boot, on the driver side wheel arch. it's underneath the carpet and contained within a foam "box" which splits in half. sounds like the vacuum for the C/L is going a bit funky. take the doorcard off and investigate if i were you. Also, when you changed the door handle did you plug the 2-pin red and black connector back into the connector on the inside of the door?
mcbettermanpj 0 Posted September 16, 2008 Thank you, I will do some more investigating this evening. I can't remember having to disconnect anything from the door handle when I took it out. There does though seem to be a spare connector within the door. The actuator seems to be all connected up so its not from there.

You would know about the door connector I'm sure, you cannot remove the door handle without unclipping the connector at the bottom of the inside of the door. That would certainly stop it working though!
Leonard 0 Posted October 1, 2008 Did you have any luck with this in the end? I had another play with mine tonight and Im still clueless :(
mcbettermanpj 0 Posted October 8, 2008 Hi sorry. I managed to solve mine. I must have some how trapped the vacumn\air pipe when I put my dash back in as I checked to see if the actuator for the door still woked by blowing and sucking into the pipe. Luckily all I had to do was undo the 2 nuts that hold the back of the dash near the wiper blade linkage, push the dash forward than back. So thats one problem fixed, I have now another water leak as my car has decided it neads a water fountain next to the alternator??!! 3rd water leak probalem this year!!
