staight through decat exhaust g60 whats best co% to set to

Recommended Posts

have 68mm chip and pully ,decat exhaust ,kandn filter.would like to know what to set the co% mixture to in tuning mode.have tried several settings

2.0%.3.0%,1.5%and 1.0%.and seems to run nice at about 1.0%.

it has a german chip and not been on a rolling road yet.going well now.

would like to know if there is a recommended setting.

at 1.0% the pot readings are about 225-230ohms..

cheers all..

the pot reading across pins two and three is temperature dependant and you need to check the values against the graph in the back of the bentley manual,

the blue coolent sensor should also reflect the figures in the book for that sensor. they both have there own graph, the CO pot in the boost pipe is adjustable and the blue coolant one isn't

The manual also states the correct CO% ratio's IRRC

225-230 across pins 1 & 3 is running very rich ... is the pot working ok ? this is the co pot you are measuring ?

i know the bentley manual says the reading across 2 and 3 should fall in the garph's range for a give air temp, but mensions nothing about 1&3???

I've always read on forums the the resistance of 1&3 should be X at any given temp. so whats the deal then!!!

Dont have the manual here at work!!

1 and 3 are the ohm levels for fuel. pin 2 is temp.

the co-pot trims fuel according to this setting.

IIRC 550 is default standard setting.

meaning that 225 is rich.

mine is set to IIRC 800 so im lean.

this is all according to standard spec. however it may be right at 225. its just richer than standard setting.

on the standard chip i was set to 427ohm and that seemed ok.

measure sensor resistance across terminals 2 and 3 using multimeter

measured value must fall within appropriate area of chart

thanks for all replys.when i was adjusting in tuning mode adjusted co to 1.0% then switched off and checked ohms at 1&3 on co pot and showed about 225ohms.

now maybe its because i only have a cheap c0 machine, but the car seemed to run better than at 550ohms.also it seems to run poorly at anything above 550.

spluttering and revs rise up and down when started from cold.

also what is everyone setting timing to.

cheers all.

:? about that chart though
