StormchargedVR6 0 Posted April 5, 2010 Reckon it would look even better will all-reds ;) Out of those two though, I'd go with the Inpros. All Reds , smoked plates 8)
twofourten 0 Posted April 5, 2010 I had not thought of all red option, hmmm... might have to look for some now Car just passed it's MOT & now registered in the UK officially so I have to get plates this week - I wanted black with chrome characters, but I gather it has to be 27 years old or more for those plates? Smoked would be cool, as dark as possible/legal...

twofourten 0 Posted April 21, 2010 Collecting the car tomorrow morning from JKM with a new clutch in... :D However the engine mounts and ISV are on the way out and need to be replaced ASAP... :( Does anyone have an ISV for a 1991 G60 second hand? What engine mounts are best, I guess the solid ones?
dirtytorque 0 Posted April 21, 2010 What engine mounts are best, I guess the solid ones? standard VAG ones.
twofourten 0 Posted April 22, 2010 Having collected the car from JKM today, the ISV has started working again, but only when the joint on the hoses is detached? Anyone have any ideas as to what may be happening? Is there a guide anywhere as to how to remove & clean the ISV as i seem to recall reading about this somewhere? Part number that JKM gave me is 037 906 457D Good news is that the new clutch feels great, very happy with it & whilst it was there they cleaned & oiled the gearbox, replaced the inner and outer CV boots + found and sorted a leak in the CAM cover gasket. Drives much better already despite still suffering from the issue above... :)
twofourten 0 Posted April 22, 2010 Here are the latest graphs from the folks at JKM: Output 175.4 bhp @ 6120 rpm Torque 176lb/ft @ 6120 rpm climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfAFRsmall.jpg[/attachment:62yc02e8] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfPSIsmall.jpg[/attachment:62yc02e8] Torquesmall.jpg[/attachment:62yc02e8] I'm still getting my head round this so any feedback on the results is very welcome... twofourten 0 Posted June 28, 2010 Finally got round to getting a new grille in + the man from Auto Windscreens came round and put in a new windscreen - got the one with the tinted top :) ISV issue all sorted, it had a cracked hose I had missed. Running like a dream again now. Must get round to buying a bonnet bra & save the paint from those nasty stone chips...
twofourten 0 Posted September 3, 2010 Had a few small issues lately - was loosing oil, brake fluid and coolant?! Turned out to be a combination of a few things all at once, so the chaps at Frenchmoor Racing did the following: Fit new brake fluid hose Renew the radiator top hose adaptor, seal and bolts. Bleed & test the system. Replace the cam cover gasket, cam shaft seal, auxiliary shaft seal, crankshaft seal & gasket. Also got a new oil cap. Fit new timing belt as previous was oil damaged.
