Sonicriot13 0 Posted November 22, 2008 Guy came in to see how much money we'd give him for his car (a really old Nissan Micra) in part exchange and when we ran an hpi check it had been declared a Cat B writeoff! Oh, did I forget to mention that this was back in 1998! He's been driving around in a car that should have been crushed 10 years ago! :pale:

LisaK 0 Posted November 22, 2008 Cat B... that's structural damage isn't it? Like bent chassis?
bcstudent 0 Posted November 22, 2008 Yeah, it's major damage. Not enough to force it to be crushed, but it should be used for nothing more than parts only. I think.
Sonicriot13 0 Posted November 22, 2008 He was proper p!ssed off! He was shaking with rage! think on a cat b you can take bits for parts and the main chasis has to be crushed due to structural damage. Cat a is when the whole thing has to be disposed of.
