Recommended Posts

Quick question, anyone know what the correct name for the spring clips that hold the hoses on in the engine bay or better still know where to get the tool from or what the tool is called?

or a pair of mole grips, although they have a habit of slipping out of the jaws, especially in tight spaces

I think they're called constant pressure spring hose clips or something like that, I have used mole grips to remove clip/hose quiet successfully & I have re-used a couple without any problem.

i think someone on here gave me the tip of fitting a jubliee clip around the two prongs on the springy type clips and tighten that until clamp is loose

Constant Tension clips - much better that worm drive of Jubilee's for water and fuel pipes!

Tool can be got from Halfords made by Laser - peanuts on the trade card...

You can also get a long reach tool as well which is pretty good according to Dinkus
