delocked boot help

Recommended Posts

Hello

I started delocking the boot today. So far so good, I've removed the barrell and filled in the hole. then I mounted up the solenoid.

Next is the wiring

I thought I's use the rear wiper power leads. There is a yellow and black, Brown, and green and yellow.

the solenoid has + and - spades, so I've wired up one to earth on the body and tried the yellow and black on the other, this works but only once and when I turn on the ignition. I've also blown fuse 4 a bunch of times

The idea is for it to work when I push the rear wiper stalk

Any help would be helpful

cheers

I got a switch with my kit which could be run straight off the battery. I'm lazy and thought It would run easy of the wiper power :brickwall: The main reason I'm doing this is because I got 3 keys and I gotta take the keys out the ignition to open the boot if a passenger wants to get something from the boot :mad2:
