which way to fit check valve on g60

Recommended Posts

thinking of fitting a one way valve or check valve to isv to prevent boost leak and was wondering which way to fit direction of flowas you look at engine.

was possibly looking to use a black plastic one way heater valve from heatermatrix recall valve kit sourced from a scrappy or if anyone on here has a spare one please let me know cheers all.

also is this the same as an isv rerout kit

but i have heared that idle is better, and generally the engine runs smoother.

is this wright or wrong.as my g60 can be all over the place on start up from cold.

anyone out there fitted one and do they work in anyway.cheers. :?

u can actually adjust the isv too .. but you need to be careful when doing so . there is a small allen bolt in the very end.

its a valve that vents to stabilise the idle from what i understand.

you normally fit a check valve if the ISV is leaking under boost. the check valve closes and presvents boost lose where the isv leaks air back into the boost return pipe.

my check valve is just a ball bearing in a metal tube. in theory if the ISV leaks is pushed the bearing against the end cap of the tube sealing it thus stoping the boost leak. then as the boost come off the bearing is allowed to move away from the end cap allowing the ISV to do its job

The only reason i have one i cos i thought my ISV was leaking
