g60 alternator removal

Recommended Posts

im trying to get the alternator out of my 90 corrado. what do i remove to get the tension on the belt loosened and if there is a step by step instruction on how to do the complete removal. there seems to be a number of bolts that have to be moved but there is a spring type tensioner in there that im no sure what to do with. im new to vw corrado and just picked mine up this week so any help would be great.....thanks

tbh there isn't that much holding the alternator in place.Few bolts and a couple of wires.

The tricky bit is the tensioner without the right tool to compress/decompress it.

I do it with brute force and lots of ignorance.
