WHEELER1 0 Posted March 29, 2009 i bought a stripped door today and when i got it back home the rubber that goes along the bottom of the window is diffent from the one on my car. On my car the upright rubber strip goes behind the horizontal one and on the new door it is the other way round. does anyone know why it is not the same. Als think ive bitten off more than i can chew buying a stripped door. i cant really even see where to start so many rivets and wires!! any advice? cheers sam
colinstubbs 0 Posted March 29, 2009 The 'new' door has the old style trim. That won't matter unless it bugs you and you want to shell out £40-odd for the late horizontal strip and around £150 for the big bit just to make it the same as your other door!! Yandards 0 Posted March 29, 2009 Yeah, they did change the way the strip along the top of the door joins with the strip around the door. You can always cut the later strip off to get it to fit the earlier style.
