Kevin Bacon 5 Posted December 27, 2003 What LEDs are lit when idling?
steveo29 0 Posted December 27, 2003 one of the middle "ok" leds are lit at idle..i understand it should cycle once warm
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted December 27, 2003 The o2 sensor generates 0.45V when cold, which falls in the 'OK' range but after the preheat has finished (after approx 2 mins) it should, as you say, fluctuate from 0.1 to 0.8V. Strange it's fluctuating when driving and not at idle. Is the guage showing 'Stoich' at wide open throttle? Dunno to be honest.....maybe the lambda probe is on it's way out? When they stick at 0.45V at idle, that's usually a good sign. K
steveo29 0 Posted December 27, 2003 yep...stoich at wot...its a recent gsf lambda sensor...wouldnt there be other signs that its shot
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted December 27, 2003 Did you ground the meter to the car/battery or the Lambda's earth? K

GazzaG60 0 Posted December 31, 2003 Mine does this steve. i noticed it on my last chip. when i leaned it out it would cycle. ive been really lazy and not done any more fine tuning so mines the same. itll sit at middle to rich on idle and cycle when moving and holding around 10 vac. im gonna lean out a bit more as im still rich and im pretty sure this will sort the problem. tell tales like plug colour and exhaust give it away. i got MOT in a few weeks so im gonna try and get the wideband done this week to sort it.
