MOT failure sheet, part no's needed!

Recommended Posts

As odd as it sounds i was quite pleased with the test results, i bought the 'rado with no MOT and thought it'd need alot more! Emissions aside, i need to know what parts to buy, as the mechanic will obviously have lengths of standard brake pipes. A link to an online parts catalogue would be fine! Anyway, here's the list..

Cheers

nsr (to load valve) brake pipe corroded

osr (to load valve) brake pipe corroded

osr (from load valve to flexy hose) brake pipe corroded

osr (from flexy hose to flexy hose) brake pipe corroded

nsr (to caliper) brake hose ferrule corroded

osr (to caliper) brake hose ferrule corroded

osr brake disc excessively scored

nsr parking brake recording little or no effort

osr parking brake recording little or no effort

exhaust emmisions carbon monoxide content excessive

parking brake efficiency below requirements

On a positive note, i did get a few looks on my way home from the testing station, so all that effort polishing and giving the plastic treatment yesterday paid off! 8)

Rear brakes can be sorted by stripping off the caliper and giving the carrier and edges of the pads a good going over with an angle grinder to get rid of all the corrosion. This stops them sliding in the carrier and prevents the rear brakes from working.

angle grinder! I've always carefully hand filed them clean of built up rust
