I guess it doesn't directly apply as a lot of our police forces drive round in Vauxhall Astra's, and not Police Special V8 cruisers.. but still reckon this would be fun if you were put up against a police Volvo V70 or something equally brisk :)

 

I've long thought that something like this should be done here. Police controlled / endorsed / subsidized motoring or track events to try and encourage youth NOT to do it on the roads. They seem quite happy that it's given a real reduction in illegal street racing according to the article. I wonder if it'd work here?
