VR6 on ITB's

decided that i'm gonna be different with what i'm gonna do with my car next and have decided that i'm going for a vr6 on ITB's :cuckoo:

 

any info and advice regarding parts etc etc would be great.

 

heres the only link i could find to a VR6 on ITB's

sounds like pure porn to me.

there was a thread not long ago on ed38 about a vr6 on ITB's, they were saying it was quite expensive to make as the bodies were so close together or something... i forget. im just trying to find the thread now

I wonder what size throttle bodies you want? And who makes an adaptor? Might be a good project for your local friendly Crazy_Dave...

 

Wonder what sort of management would be best? There won't be a lot of room for the bodies and filters behind the radiator. I wonder if the radiator could be tipped forward at all?

karl the one in the vid and the uk r32 engined vento in bodies have both cut away the slam panel considderably and the golf has an extra inch or so between the rad and the inlet manifold :( ... i'm intreigued to see how they'll fit though as the sound'll be amazing 8)

Just to be controversial.. Does absolutely nothing for me. Takes away everything that was great about the VR6 IMHO - that smooth V6 purr, with the subtle bellow, developing into that characteristic howl as you let it stretch its legs. Add a charger or a turbo and it's perfection.

 

That just sounds like a VR6 with timing chains in desperate need of renewal!

 

Each to his own though mate - your ambition for modifying your car knows no bounds!!
