moneypit23 0 Posted May 27, 2009 I noticed a noise today, drove to Manchester and parked up where i noticed that this bit of plastic had come loose and was dragging along underneath the car. It is next to the front wheel on the drivers side. It happened on the 16v as well but that had access to the top where i managed to secure it. This doesn't look possible on a VR. Does anyone know how i can fix it? I really need to use it tomorrow for a 70 mile round trip and i'd rather not be dragging it all that way. Apologies for the poor picture. Thanks
Toad 0 Posted May 27, 2009 I *think* it's just a cover that sits in the wheel arch, I believe the screws that hold it in place get pretty rust and may have given way on yours. I'd jack it up, remove the wheel and pull the cover off for the time being....
moneypit23 0 Posted May 27, 2009 I was afraid that might be the answer :?
Jim Bowen 1 Posted May 27, 2009 i think if you take the wheel off you will see its just clipped on, very easy to put back on "wrong"
moneypit23 0 Posted May 28, 2009 Sorted with a drill and a cable tie :D Don't you just love that sense of achievement when you fix something and you know you have saved yourself an uneccessary financial mauling by going to a garage
