GirlieC 0 Posted January 3, 2004 After a few years of dreaming I finally got my own C, after my earlier car (Opel Kadett) was wrecked. The C that I bought was deffinately not in the best possible condition, but well, it is a starting project, so I guess it doesn't really matter. My C is G60, but going to be changed into 1.8T... And I should make some sort of bodykit for it, and new alloys of course... And some other things.
Jim 2 Posted January 3, 2004 Look forward to seeing how it develops! Make sure you keep us posted :)
rmn 0 Posted January 3, 2004 A Good base alright! Good luck with the conversion! I know of somebody here (Ireland) with a G60 converted to 1.8t (well neraly finished) Same color, seems to be the way to go for power!
Ka` 0 Posted January 3, 2004 Hey! Another Finnish person! Woo! And a girl as well? Even if not, we rock! Riikka a.k.a. Rica
GirlieC 0 Posted January 3, 2004 Have to admit that I'm really Finnish, and yes, a girl too... And before anyone gets the idea of "no girl can do that by herself", here's my previous car: http://www.boostaholics.com/Kadett/galleria.htm Sorry about the language, but haven't had the time to translate the website into English. This is how it looked like when ready... And here you can see why I bought the C... - Nea -

dubster82 0 Posted January 3, 2004 wow! You put a lot of work into your kadette, any pics of the finished dasi / interior? i cant find any.. Your corrado looks sweet enough and i look forward to seeing what you have planned :D
GirlieC 0 Posted January 3, 2004 Kadett's interior 1 Kadett's interior 2 Kadett's interior 3 I've already bought Seidl's rear bumper for my C, and planning to make the front bumper and sideskirts during January...
Jim 2 Posted January 3, 2004 Was that Kadett turbocharged? The Astra (which is what it is called over here) never came with a turbo charged engine over here as far as I know. And it looks like it was a tidy project - I never really liked the Astra until now :D
GirlieC 0 Posted January 3, 2004 Yep, turbocharged it was...And that's right, it didn't come with the turbo originally. Mine had 2-liter 8V engine with KKK-K03 -turbo (same as the one that 1.8T-engine has) and DTA E48 engine management system.
Jim 2 Posted January 3, 2004 Bet it was a bit fruity! What kind of power was it putting out? 180BHP'ish?
GirlieC 0 Posted January 3, 2004 About 200bhp and 300Nm @ 3000rpm Got to get more than that from Corrado.

W3RKD 0 Posted January 3, 2004 hello and welcome.... looking at the pics of the kaddet you should be able to use the intercooler in the corrado if you still have it ..

GirlieC 0 Posted January 9, 2004 What did you hit? Shame because it was a very nice looking setup! I'm not familiar with the traffic rules in other countries, but anyway one Citroén C5 with an aluminium cart came straight infront of my Kadett, when I was in priority... It's a little hard to explain it in English...

GirlieC 0 Posted March 28, 2004 The project has advanced quite a lot... It's gonna be a little different than any Corrado I've seen, but I guess that's the whole point of doing this. I'm expecting very divided opinions, some will like, some hate, but well, comments of any kind are welcome. :) Some pics: http://www.boostaholics.com/Corrado/galleria/1832004/index.html http://www.boostaholics.com/Corrado/galleria/2232004/index.html http://www.boostaholics.com/Corrado/galleria/2832004/index.html
