Joe M 0 Posted January 4, 2004 install it and when i try to open it it comes up with a JREW.EXE error and must be closed. dont know why im running xp and it used to work fine on my windows 2000 any ideas Could it be a firewall problem? When I first ran Bentley, ZoneAlarm asked if I wated to allow JREW access to the internet, it came up with an error until I allowed it.

Supercharged 2 Posted January 7, 2004 Nah forget about the compatability mode it should work ok on xp (etka however needs to be run in 98/me mode) - the only probs i've seen are the IE6 ones... Things to try... Full windows update reset web settings (from inside IE) make sure you are admin of local machine or log on to pc with administrator account download latest Java VM - http://java-virtual-machine.net/download.html

mhoult 0 Posted August 3, 2004 Search the folder where bentey was installed on the C drive and find symcjit.dll rename the file symcjit.old I would uninstall the software first as messing around with emulation etc can stop the above 'fix' working. This should work.

LozBoz 0 Posted August 25, 2004 Yo YO I had this problem something to do with pentium processers. Do a search on your computer for SYMCJIT.dll. When you find it rename it SYMCJIT.old. This made it work first time for me. Check it out LOZ
