h100vw 0 Posted January 4, 2004 Peter, could be the wiper on the sender is damaged/dirty/knackered. It is part of teh fuelpump. Access is in the boot. Half hour job to look at with the right tools. Not worth trying if you dont have the tools/knowledge. A garage would need an hour or so to check it out. Let us know if you want the low down. If you find out you need some parts let us know. I did have a duff pump with good sender in my garage but I cant remember if I binned it? Gavin
dr_mat 0 Posted January 4, 2004 I definitely have a duff pump in storage, the fuel gauge sender worked fine. I'll dig it out if you're interested. My local garage fitted my replacement pump inside 10 minutes, it's really not a hard job - you just have to be careful not to get fuel everywhere.
