failed mot again on emissions

aaagggghhhhh once again failed on bloody emissions this time only on slow idle

thinking of changing the lamba sensor and poss the air filter

 

any other ideas :confused4:

NATURAL IDLE TEST CO 0.50 % VOL CO LEVEL 1.43% VOL FAIL :(

 

would be good to know if its a good idea to get a new lamba sensor as they are £120 from the stealers or what to do really

vag com is not showing any problems with the lamba sensor but one of the guys in the garage said it could be that

well ive made a start and just brought a bmc cda as the k&n jobby was 8 years old

i have done a full oil and filter change its got new platinium plugs (ngk's)

any thing i have missed ????

Might work. If Vagcom isnt bringing up any problems then it may not be the lambda. Can you not get one from elsewhere, doesnt have to be dealers.

 

High CO is due to incomplete combustion so not enough air or overfuelling. What youve done should have helped.

kind of thought this i have sourced a bosch lambda sensor for £30 posted

i have a gas tester to see if there is any change after fitting i think there should be
