how much have you spent on ya car!?

i'm just about to start totting up how much i've spent on alloys and interiors etc etc. i will post later after i have had my heart attack.

Think I have just broken through the 10K level after a complete engine rebuild and a second Vr6 for spares. Really hope thats it now :lol:

had mine 11 years...don't really want to think about it.....

 

car 5600 (bargain £2000 below book!)

gearbox rebuild/suspension/bushes 1300

bodywork/paint 2500

discs and pads, several, £400

exhaust 350

rear lights 100

interior swap 1000

odd problems for garage work 700

redline f.breather throttle body 190

other parts/tyres ???

 

Over £1000 a year i guess as an average :lol:

In repairs and modifications? easily more than the cost of the BMW M5 I should have bought instead 3½ years ago (at the price an E39 M5 was 3½ years ago). Thats not really a nice thought is it...

 

Frankly if you can keep a VR6 properly maintained for £1,000 a year you're doing fairly well. When I think back to the times when I ran the first two Corrados (not the current money pit) I think I was spending easily £1,000-£1,500 per year before the cost of the modified bits.

At my last count i was circa £20K including buying the car since december 2002, i reckon there has been another 5k on top of that.

 

Approx 10-12k on the engine as things progressed

4-5k on the ICE

4-5k on buying the car

blah blah blah

 

My spending is tiny in comparison to ahem cough, somebody on here

i payd £3000 my my G60 + i've sent but £2000ish on it if i had moor money id send it on my G60 to

 

my insurance has gone supid £**** :cuckoo: :(
