big ben 10 Posted August 3, 2009 what are you using and recommend?? i have been doing a few searches and found out a bit, but still un clear on a good set up. Have NO idea about subs and amps, all this component stuff... what ever happened to the 6x9 speakers in the parcel shelf  (never liked that look anyway) Audioscape pods, component speakers/tweeters in the front, ditch the rear speakers all together, and a sub and amp in the back seems to be THE set up on here... i have a decent sony stereo (dont know what one of hand) but thats it, looking for a decent loud sound, nothing that will rattle my car apart if your with me... dont want to spend a fortune either, what you get for a budget of say, £300 without the head unit?? Jim 2 Posted August 3, 2009 Do a search mate - hi fi stuff has been talked about ad-infintum :) I think general consensus is get the best speakers you can afford up front in Audioscape door pods, an amplifier, a reasonable sub in the boot and the best quality head unit you can afford. If you're on more of a budget, uprated speakers in the existing door pods, a decent H/U and a self-amplified sub (like Infinity Basslink) seems to be a popular setup :)

g0ldf1ng3r 15 Posted August 3, 2009 inifnity, infinity, infinity!!!! from a decent sony head unit i run infinity kappa 693i 6*9s in a modified and re-covered factory parcel shelf (so as speakers not visible) with the kappa 52.91's in the front doors - the sound reproduction is simply awesome!!!! plus the power of them at all ranges means i can save boot space with a smaller 10" sub & tiny amp :) highly recommended to inifnity & beyond!!!!
