fla 9 Posted August 4, 2009 Me being too finnicky - the pass side door closes nicely with a good thump. The drivers on teh other hand sounds a bit 'rattly' from the lock. Its not broken, its merely the actual opening of the mechanism as the door striker pin hits it. The plastic ring on th door pin has been replaced with some tape so should be soft, but its not. any ideas? Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
colinstubbs 0 Posted August 5, 2009 If the original plastic on the pin has been replaced the door has probably dropped so hits the pin rather than closing nicely over it. Try a new pin and shimming the top hinge forward to lift the door. Loosen the top bolt and insert shimmage - simple (ish!) It makes a hell of a difference and closing the door becomes a pleasure again instead of a wince-inducing trial :lol: 8) Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
