Anyone able to check the VW part number - stearing joint

Recommended Posts

Anyone know the part number for the stearing joints for a 1995 VR6?

I got some from the dealer but I'm unsure if they are correct, they have the numbers:

191 419 811 (left)

191 419 812 (right)

Are they supposed to be correct?.

Also on my car it doesn't seem there is any "counter locking nut" (one to thighten this joint after it's aligned), is it just supposed to be screwed directly on without any nut being screwed the oposit way?

That's what I fear, as all the other parts I got also was for Corrado's with other engines then the VR6.

Any idea about the correct part for the VR6?

no, actually those parts are right I've just checked, the track rods are different but the track rod ends are actually the same part on 4cyl and 6 cylinder Corrados

ahh, ok, thnx guys!...:)

btw are they supposed to just be screwed on without having a nut to "lock" them ? (as mine doesn't seem to have a locking nut), and a guy I spoke with thought they originaly would come with only one of the rods being adjustable (mine seem that both are adjustable).
