ken corrado 0 Posted October 11, 2009 dash loom has melted, i got some cheap fuses that didn't work i dont no how much damage has been caused but there was a lot of smoke from behind the dash and from what i can see there is a lot of meltid wires behind the light switch. shaung60 0 Posted October 11, 2009 Your H reg is an early car and the L reg is a late car. Looms will be different. Changeover year was '92. Headlight switch has it's own loom. ABS (if fitted) has its own loom. Fogs & HRW share the same loom. Clocks have their own loom. I think they are different between analouge and digital clocks. All can be replaced easily enough without having to take the dash out. Chances are it's just the headlight loom that's gone. Caused by your headlight switch and cheaps fuses not liking each other.
