Seat Fabric

I have a 1994 VR6 with the purple fleck/black bolsters interior.

 

The drivers seat bolsters are starting to wear through and I'd like to replace them.

Does anybody know anywhere you can buy matching material??

i think it would be hard to find the right stuff. unfortunately fabric and seat covers are sold out for years at the dealer.

it would probably be cheaper to get a completely new fabric and do the whole car :lol:

or try to get covers off another car, the fabrics are generally shared about between models so you may get lucky??

Any decent trimmer should be able to match the black cloth.

I had the same problem.....so I bought a used passenger seat and used that as a donor. The passenger seats are generally in much better condition than the drivers and the whole of the back of the seat is the same fabric as the bolster fabric.

All you then need is a really good trimmer to remove the worn panel and stitch in a new one using the donor seat.
