dgtvr6 0 Posted November 2, 2009 All is it a massive job to change the dash? I have a grey one in now and a spare black one in my garage I want to put in... Looking at various threads here a number of people seem to swap their dash for fun!!! Is it a massive job or something an amateur can do? thanks

StueyB 0 Posted November 3, 2009 Agreed, not difficult just fiddly. A 2nd pair of hands to help put the new one in and get it lined up etc would half the time i takes i reckon. Oh and take note of the order things came off in.
quicky1980 0 Posted November 5, 2009 straightforward enough, takes a little longer the first time because your having to find all the hidden retaining bolts/fixings. I reckon first time would take a couple of hours. I've had mine out twice, once for a dash swap and second time was for a heater matrix swap (although ive been told that the heater matrix can be swapped without a dash out, damn it!) I prob can now remove and refit one in less than an hour iirc.
