VeeDub_NZ 0 Posted November 10, 2009 I have just picked up a set of 17x7 et45 and 17x9 et35 BBS RS for my 16v. I will need to run adaptors as they are 5x114.3 and will need to convert the car to 5x100 to accomodate the adaptors (It is illegal in New Zealand to adapt 4 to 5stud). Can anyone help me with the outcome if I have 17x9 et20 (after adaptors) on the rears. Rubbing, how low can I go, what arch work will be required? What tyres would be reccommended? Alternatively can I get some a pair of 7" barrells to swap my 9" ones somewhere!?!? I would prefer less than 9" wide on the rear, but bbs rs are like rocking horse shit in New Zealand not to mention 17" ones. Cheers in advance for your help!! bristolbaron 11 Posted November 10, 2009 all depends on what tyres you're running.. if you go for something like a 205/40 or even a 195/40 if you wanna go crazy then you'll be fine with just rolling back the arches.. if you want a 215 or 225 you're gonna have somework to do. et 20 will run just outside of the arch, but will still allow for a healthy drop with the right tyres..
