Rear De-mister

Hi gang :camp:

 

My 'rado's rear de-mister is pretty crap. Only 3 of the bars that go along the tailgate glass actually work and de-mist the screen - and 2 of which are obscured by the spoiler when it goes up!! :lol:

 

But seriously, has anyone experienced a similar fault? I know of the 'track repair kits' I can buy, to repair the tracks, but thought it might be a suspect if 80% of the entire tailgate isn't working?

 

Any ideas? :confused4:

It will be the lines across the screen,ive used the repair kits before and the do work but make the rear screen look a mess,best find a used tailgate glass.

Surely if you mask off the screen with care you can do a tidy job of repainting the breaks with the repair stuff? doesn't have to be a thick line just enough to make a circuit.

Thing is the whole lines don't work, as tho there isn't a break on them, so I guess the break must be the main one around the tailgate?

get a multimeter mate,probe it around the screen and see what you find

Aaaa, I see - fancy them making the repair stuff silver when every car in the world has goldy coloured demisters - Cnuts! :cuckoo:
